Oloroso style aged for 20 years in American Oak. Amber in color, walnuts on the nose. The palate opens with brown sugar. Pecans, figs and a hint of spice and orange peel lingers creating an elegant finish.
At its best, the grape Montepulciano can produce wines that are dry, rich, powerful, and dark in color. This wine can be compared to a Chianti style of wine since it is made up of 15% Sangiovese. Blending with Sangiovese adds body and complexity with flavors ranging from fruity to savory.
